Epworth Ladies Golf was formed for sport, fun and fellowship. Golfers meet at the Golf Shack Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. to play 9 holes (with a Game of the Day) and gather for lunch afterward. All women at Epworth are invited to play and/or join the group for lunch. Our mission, for those who golf, is to enjoy playing together and to hit it straight! Years ago, ELG created the Puttering Place as a means of generating funds to support and improve the golf course. ELG gets a percentage of Puttering Place sales for this purpose. Recent improvements funded by ELG include small enhancements like new bunker rakes and yardage markers, junior golf clubs, and wooden benches in support of Epworth’s 125th anniversary, as well as significant capital donations for new course equipment and mowers. ELG beautifies Epworth by providing the flower boxes at the Golf Shack and supporting the Hotel Lobby renovation and Puttering Place expansion. We’re very pleased that the Puttering Place has become such an iconic part of Epworth and we encourage all at Epworth to support it.
