Windermere

Originally built in 1895 with a majority of it being remolded in 2011, Windermere is centrally located on the resort. Close to the Auditorium, Pixie Palace and Depot and just a short walk from the Hotel. Has plenty of parking at the cottage as well as Hotel parking lot.

Happy Hollow Cottage – brand new as of 2017! Enjoy Epworth and all it has to offer from this new, gorgeous, three story cottage in the Loop Area. The cottage offers approximately 4000 square feet of indoor living space not including a spacious covered front porch, back deck, and upper porch off master bedrooms. It has a fantastic central location close to tennis courts, hotel, church, Pixie Palace, and beaches. Sit back and relax with gorgeous lake views from the front porch/main living rooms and kitchen and the two master bedrooms on top floor. The cottage offers 8 bedrooms in total, 5 bedrooms on top floor, one on the ground floor for those who wish to avoid stairs, and two bunk rooms in the finished basement. New mattresses!!!

Happy Hollow has four full bathrooms and 2 half baths, including the outdoor showering area. Cottage has its own garage and parking for three cars, easy access to the cottage via a ramp from the garage with only a few steps to enter the cottage, so easy access! It offers two washer/dryers and two refrigerators. The main floor is bright and spacious, with an open floor plan. It has a large, functional, brand new kitchen and pantry with two sinks, two refrigerators, huge island with stools, wine refrigerator, ice machine, pantry, and all new appliances, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and cookware.

The main floor also has a separate dining room area and a quiet, light sunroom area with a gas fireplace with lake views and sliding glass doors for privacy and quiet. There is one bedroom with full bath, another half bath, and small “flex” room by the back deck also on the ground floor.

The top floor has two master bedrooms with king size beds that share a walk-out, private sitting porch to enjoy lake views. It has another bedroom with a queen bed, another with a full size bed as well as a fifth bedroom with two twin-beds. It offers two full bathrooms and one-half bathroom: one with clawfoot tub /sink/toilet and another with double sink/shower/toilet and then another small half bathroom. Bathrooms are designed to allow many people to share them easily, with separate doors.

The basement has a separate entrance with outdoor shower area, large and functional bathroom with shower/double sink/toilet, large laundry room with side by side washer and dryer, plenty of play space, big screen TV, and lots of room and privacy for kids and older teens. The bunk rooms each sleep four (two sets of bunk beds in each room, so eight twin beds.) Keep the fun, television, (and noise) downstairs and enjoy the peace and quiet of the two top floors!

Front porch is covered but not enclosed and has a swing and outdoor seating area, again all new furniture. Back deck is large and has a grill, outdoor table and chairs to seat 8 people, and sofa/love seat seating area. There are so many places at Happy Hollow to relax and find quiet time if needed, even if you have a bigger family or group staying there.

The cleaning fee is a separate fee ($250) to be paid by the renter in advance of their stay, and there is also a 10% fee paid directly to Epworth by the renters. We hope to find renters who are interested in a year after year long-term rental arrangement and want to rent to families who know Epworth, understand and appreciate its rules and regulations, and will treat Happy Hollow as if it were their own home.

Glenside

Glenside is a classic, comfortable Epworth cottage that has been kept as it was as our families grew up there. Set above the Hotel Square, you are close to all activities and the Coffee Shop and Hotel. Weekly rentals run from Sunday thru Saturday unless other arrangements are made.

Maryland

Availability Calendar 2024: Not renting in 2024


Maryland is a deceptively large, charming cottage which has received a number of updates over the years. Almost all of the original windows have been replaced as have both front and back decks. A full bath was added in the basement in 2005 and one of the upstairs bath remodeled in 2020. The master bedroom was remodeled in 2018. In addition to a ceiling fan, this bedroom also has a window air conditioning unit and base board heater. All other rooms have box fans. The first level hardwood floors were refinished in 2018. Maryland has many porches on which to relax, nap and play games. In addition to the dining room, the cottage has a large breakfast room on the back of the house which also serves as an office. There is a large desk and a printer/fax available for those who need to do a little work. Maryland has a nice view of the lake from the front of the house and a grass yard in front and back with gardens. This cottage has retained much of its original charm from the bead board paneling that is present in a number of rooms.
